trouble with a girlfriend. A woman raising
her sister's child wants to know if she should
tell the child she's not her real mother.
A woman divorced her husband to marry a man
22 years older and now realizes she has nothing
in common with him; A husband knows his wife
is mentally ill and doesn't want to put his
wife in a mental institution; a woman faces
financial hardship after her children are
grown up and moved away.

Department has taken over the issuance of
army news. A bulletin comes in saying that
it's unclear where Germany stands in honoring
the terms of the Tripartite Pact as they characterized
the military actions by Japan as "clashes"
rather than acts of war. |
27:00: Program resumes. A young man had
trouble living with his stepfather and moved
out. Now he doesn't know what to do; A 38-year-old
woman is having trouble keeping her new husband
at home.
39:33 (10:39 p.m. EST) Program interruption
for brief bulletin: President Roosevelt will
address a joint session of Congress tomorrow.
40:00: Program resumes. A woman whose
parents paid for 4 years of acting lessons
took a menial job when she didn't get any
acting jobs. She's unhappy and wants to go
back to acting but her mother is ill and she
doesn't want to stop working because she'll
be taking money away from her parents again;
A woman wants to put her ill mother-in-law
in an institution once she is released from
the hospital but the family is divided over
this decision; A woman married for 23 years
wants to take her two sons and leave her husband
because of his gambling problem; A 16-yr-old
boy who switched schools wants to return to
his old school but his parents won't let him. |
