moving quickly to intern all Japanese nationals.
Japanese property will be seized at once.
General Chiang Kai Shek will launch a 4 million
man counteroffensive. Winchell repeats most
of what has already been reported. Naval authorities
believe that the force which attacked Hawaii
was probably a suicide force that did not
expect to return to base. We anticipated the
attack today. England's prestige is at stake
in the Libyan campaign. Report on the Russian
front. We owe a debt to this country, and

garrison will fight to the last man. A great
battle in the China Sea could happen at any
time. The British will fight that battle.
Rumor persists that two sister ships of the
Bismarck or in the China Sea flying the Japanese
flag. Phoenix will help west coast evacuation
if necessary. The army has banned all commercial
communication with Alaska. The Japs are producing
1,000 fighting planes per month and have German
planes too. The military is appealing for
enlistments.
