From Berlin:
1). German bombers resumed their attacks today.
Much damage done to London yesterday.
2). Diplomatic developments in Europe.
3). War may shift to the Mediterranean.
4). War losses.
From Washington:
1). All talk continues to center around conscription. |
From London:
1). Four or five alarms today after ten hours
of raids last night. Casualties are heavier
than other nights.
2). Tour of the streets reveals much damage
everywhere. Shops and homes have taken the
hits, not military objectives. If terrorism
is the goal, it's not working.
3). Germans used different tactics yesterday.
4). Schools are rapidly emptying of children. |
