The Battle of Flanders still goes on. Germans
claim the entire coastal situation will be
cleaned up by the end of the week. Dunkirk
is still held by British Marines but German
air raids have done damage. Some troops are
starting to be withdrawn across the channel.
The attack on England no longer seems quite
so certain. Germans claim their POWs are being
mistreated. |

held its first meeting. FDR to ask for more
defense appropriations.
