1). A comparison between the New York World's Fair and the Chicago Fair.

2). German troops are on the French border but have no orders to advance further. Hitler may be preparing another peace proposal to be delivered possibly through a third party. The effect of propaganda on Germany is discussed.


3). Lindbergh's neutrality speech given on October 13 is discussed, especially as it relates to Canada.

4). Turkey's treaty with Britain and France has put pressure on Italy to stay out, and is regarded as a defeat for Germany. Turkey can no longer be classified as neutral.

5). American Ambassador to Japan Joseph Grew chastises the Japanese armed forces for their conduct in China.
